Friends University Concert Band Performance

The Event:

The Friends University Concert Band will present its spring concert on Monday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. "We are thrilled to present a fully in-person performance hosted in the spacious venue that is our university gym. Thank you for coming out and supporting our talented musicians in the last band performance of the year," said Director of Bands, Shawn Knopp. The performance will feature Assistant Professor of Music, Toni Libhart, on the xylophone, giving her a proper musical send off as she enters retirement following the end of semester. The concert is free to all and will take place in the Garvey Gymnasium in the Garvey Physical Education Center at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.. Tickets are free but must be reserved at Friends.edu/FineArtsTickets. Covid safety protocols can be found here. Please bring a face mask and be ready to sit in socially-distanced pods.
